Race-Inspired Airflow for Targeted Cooling Applications
The Advantage Tools Carbon Fiber Offset NACA Duct is a race-inspired, race-tested airflow solution designed for applications where directional airflow is required. Based on the proven NACA duct profile, it efficiently draws clean air from the vehicle surface while minimizing aerodynamic drag, making it ideal for performance vehicles that require controlled airflow delivery without external scoops.
The offset internal geometry biases airflow to one side, allowing air to be directed toward specific components or areas where cooling or ventilation is needed most.
Hand-Made in the USA Using Resin Infusion
Each duct is hand-made in the USA using a resin infusion process that produces a lightweight yet rigid carbon fiber structure. Resin infusion allows precise control of resin content and fiber saturation, resulting in consistent strength, excellent surface finish, and improved durability compared to basic wet layup methods.
This manufacturing approach ensures each carbon fiber NACA duct is well-suited for high-vibration and high-heat environments commonly found in motorsports and performance applications.
Satin UV-Protective Finish
Every duct is finished with a satin UV-protective clear coating designed to help preserve the carbon fiber from ultraviolet exposure while maintaining a refined, low-gloss appearance. This finish enhances long-term durability and helps the duct retain its appearance in outdoor and sun-exposed installations.
The satin surface reduces glare and delivers a clean, race-ready look that complements both competition vehicles and high-quality street builds.
Offset Design for Directional Airflow
Unlike a symmetric NACA duct, the offset design features a directional internal profile that intentionally biases airflow to one side. This makes it well-suited for applications where air needs to be aimed toward a specific target, such as brake cooling, electronics, or localized ventilation.
Left and Right versions are available to accommodate different airflow directions depending on installation requirements.
Undrilled Mounting Flange for Installation Flexibility
The mounting flange is intentionally left undrilled to give the user full control over installation. This allows the duct to be mounted using drilled fasteners, bonded using epoxy or structural adhesive, or integrated into custom panels depending on the application.
Leaving the flange undrilled avoids forcing a single mounting method and supports clean, purpose-built installations across a wide range of vehicles and use cases.
Designed and Tested by a Race Engineer
Designed and tested by a race engineer with extensive off-road racing experience, this duct reflects the same priorities demanded in competition: strength, reliability, and repeatable performance. It has been proven in harsh environments where vibration, dust, and heat are constant factors.
This is a functional carbon fiber component built to perform — not a cosmetic add-on.
Why Use a NACA Duct?
NACA ducts are engineered to:
-
Efficiently capture airflow from the vehicle surface
-
Minimize aerodynamic drag
-
Reduce turbulence compared to traditional scoops
-
Maintain a low-profile, flush-mounted design
These characteristics make NACA ducts a preferred solution for motorsports and performance vehicles requiring efficient airflow without compromising aerodynamics.
